Television Host/Writer/Producer/Fundraiser 
Suze has written, co-produced, and hosted four PBS specials based on her bestselling books. The most recent, which was inspired by The Laws of Money, The Lessons of Life, premiered nationwide in March 2003, and instantly joined the previous three as among the most successful fundraisers in the history of Public Television 
The personal finance editor on CNBC, Suze hosts her own national CNBC-TV show, which airs on Saturdays nights. It is consistently the network's highest-rated program for the weekend, proving that Suze's popularity extends from the pages of her books to the television sets of people across America. For the past nine years, Suze also has hosted her own "Financial Freedom" hour on the QVC network. 


Awards/Recognition 
In 2004 Suze won an Emmy award in the category of host of a service award show and was nominated for another Emmy as producer of that show. She was profiled in Worth magazine's 100th issue (October 2001) as among the top 100 people "who have revolutionized the way America thinks about money." Additionally, in 1999, she was named one of Smart Money magazine's top 30 "Power Brokers," defined as those who have most influenced the mutual fund industry and affected our money. 
A 2003 inductee into the Books for a Better Life Award Hall of Fame in recognition of her ongoing contributions to self-improvement, Suze also received the 1999 BBL Motivational Book Award for The Courage to Be Rich. As a tribute to her continuing involvement, in 2002, the organization established The Suze Orman First Book Award to honor a first-time author of a self-improvement book in any category. 
Suze received a 2003 Crossing Borders Award from the Feminist Press. The award recognizes a distinguished group of women who not only have excelled in remarkable careers, but also have shown great courage, vision, and conviction by forging new places for women in their respective fields. 
In 2003 Suze garnered an American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) Gracie Allen Award for The Suze Orman Show in the National/Network/Syndication Talk Show category. The Gracies recognize the nation's best radio, television, and cable programming for, by, and about women. 
In 2002, Suze was selected as one of five distinguished recipients of the prestigious TJFR Group News Luminaries Award, which honors lifetime achievement in business journalism.

Suze is currently the monthly contributing financial editor to O: The Oprah Magazine in both the United States and South Africa as well as the financial contributor to O at Home. Suze is also the featured writer on Yahoo Personal Finance in her extremely popular bi- weekly Money Matters series. Previously, Suze was the contributing financial editor to Self magazine and was the editor in chief of a Conde Nast specialty magazine, Currency, which had a record-breaking, single publication run of 9.3 million copies. For the past six years, Suze has been regularly featured in Costco Magazine dispensing advice to those looking for guidance when it comes to their hard-earned dollars.

Suze, a Certified Financial Planner Professional®, directed the Suze Orman Financial Group from 1987-1997, served as Vice President of Investments for Prudential Bache Securities from 1983-87, and from 1980-83, was an Account Executive at Merrill Lynch. Prior to that, she worked as a waitress at the Buttercup Bakery in Berkeley, California, from 1973-80. She currently resides in Southern Florida.
